“I have lived to sing and sung to live.” – Pate Mustajärvi

Pate Mustajärvi is a man that every Finn knows or may even claim to know. However, behind the public role lies a person whose personality, life lived, experiences, hopes and disappointments this book reveals in a new way. Pate’s story at the wheel of Popeda ended in Ratina in the autumn of 2023. However, Paul’s story as Pate Mustajärvi continued.

"Testamenttini" is a revealing life story that takes its readers through the decades. In addition to Mustajärvi, his closest friends, relatives and colleagues will also have a say.

In 2026, Mustajärvi will turn 70 and at the same time celebrate his 50-year career at the forefront of Finnish rock. It is a time for celebration.

The book also contains numerous previously unpublished photographs from Mustajärvi’s home album.
